10 Quotes for Monday Motivation

Do you dread Mondays? Not looking forward to the week? For a long time, Mondays were the bane of my existence. For the past year, Monday has been my favorite day. I love getting up on Monday morning. Why? It’s about who’s in control. Do you react to life? Does your life dictate you or are you going to dictate it?

I love Mondays because it’s the start of a fresh week. I have a whole week ahead of me to make mine, to get things done, and to use as I see fit. Monday means it’s time to roll up the sleeves and take care of business.

If you’re not there yet, read through the list below. I gathered 10 quotes that I keep around to stay motivated. Get out there and own your week!

“Live well. It is the best revenge.” – The Talmud

“That some achieve great success, is proof to all that others can achieve it as well.” – Abraham Lincoln

“The man who views the world at 50 the same as he did at 20 has wasted 30 years of his life.” – Muhammed Ali

“A hungry stomach, an empty wallet, and a broken heart can teach you the best lessons of life.” – Robin Williams

“Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.” – Winston Churchill

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.” – Mark Twain

“You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” – Martin Luther King

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.” – Steve Jobs

“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” – Thomas Edison

“The question isn’t who is going to let me, it’s who is going to stop me.” – Ayn Rand

Get out there and own the week. I love Mondays and eventually you will too. I have a whole list of things to get done this week and I look forward to feeling accomplished in every little, menial task. It is by winning the small fights that we win the battle.

If you don’t take much from the quotes above, at least consider this: Don’t let life make all your decisions for you. Don’t ask yourself “how did I get here?” or “why is this happening to me?” Own it. Get in front of life. Make life react to you.

Think about what it is you want. Now go and get it.
